School Policies

Tuition is a monthly fee. It is to be paid in advance each month. Upon request, a two- day grace period will be granted. Because tuition is a monthly fee, no refunds are given for illness, vacations or snow days.

In case of absence, parents should notify the Center. If Center is not notified of absence, after four weeks the child will automatically be dropped from the program. If a space still remains, re-registration fee of $10.00 will be required before the child can be readmitted.

Communication with Parents

Parents will be informed of the activities of the preschool through weekly or monthly bulletins, notes, letters, or phone calls. There will be two parent conferences during the year, one in the Fall and one in the Spring. Either the parents or the teacher may request an additional conference any time there is a special concern. Parents are encouraged to visit the preschool at any time, but please inform us before coming to the school. This way, the teacher will know that you are in our center and the children will not be disrupted by a sudden impromptu visit.

Confidentiality of Student Records

Students records are open to the particular child's teacher, the Director, and the child's parent or legal guardian, and regulatory agencies only.

Acceptable behavior is encouraged by giving positive verbal rewards. This reinforces a child's good feeling about his/her behavior and serves as an example to the others. Asking a child to stop and think about his/her unpleasant behavior enables them to work at self control. If a child is not cooperating in a group listening situation, the child is seated by a teacher and reminded of acceptable behavior. Corporal punishment is not an accepted method of dealing with young children's behavior. Children will not be hit, slapped or spanked in any manner while attending this school. If behavioral problems persist, the parent will be asked to a conference to discuss what maybe helpful in motivating their child to behave in an acceptable way.

Parents must bring two sheets and an extra change of clothing in case of an accident. The child's name must be marked on all of his/her belongings. Clothing and sheets must be brought in on Mondays and picked up on Fridays to be laundered. Each child is expected to have a black and white marble notebook, pencils, and crayons. Any other utensils will be individually asked of you. Please dress you child in the school's uniform.
